The SEA lectures consist of over 500 hours of didactic and clinical training. While lectures are beneficial as units of learning, the entire curriculum consists of a progressive didactic teaching leading to (1) integrating the various physiological energetic systems into a coherant whole; (2) bridge between Oriental and Western systems; (3) novel dynamic and powerful therapeutic designs; and (4) multitude of areas of research based on non postulate approaches.

Adding a complementary level certification represents yet another step in ISEA's efforts to advance the development and recognition of Systems Energetics Applied to Acupuncture. By offering a standard knowledge, skills and experience based certification to students, ISEA provides organizations with an health-care-wide benchmark for selecting highly qualified individuals for their teams, while offering individuals a recognized, portable credential that enables them to choose the best of the available positions.

To insure competence in Systems Energetics, certifications of completion are being established and will be available soon. Certification will garantee that the acupuncturist has tools to understand energetic medicine through Systems approaches, is able to apply and design rational therapies, is able to develop new tools to promote energetic medicine, and is capable to communicate with another health care professional in a paradigm understood by both.

This certification is open to all licensed acupuncturists or graduates of acupuncture programs.
